JAPHETH (in Ar. Al-Hasan) AL-BARQAMANI (early 15th century), Karaite author, presumably living in Egypt. His only known work is the Sefer Teshuvah, an Arabic polemical tract against the rabbanites , in which he nevertheless mentioned maimonides with respect. -BIBLIOGRAPHY: S.
